This young lady presented because of anal discomfort associated with large skin tags and a protruding anal polyp. These lesions are usually benign.
The patient had not been complaining of any bleeding. Bowels have been regular. The tags and polyps have been present for some years and were concerning her because of their appearance and hygiene.
At her visit to the Surgeon she was examined thoroughly with rectal examination and proctoscopy. There were no significant haemorrhoids and no other lesions.
