Orchidectomy is the first step in the treatment. Further treatment is based on the type of malignancy and the staging of the disease.

Adjuvant therapy for seminoma using radiotherapy and chemotherapy for non-seminomas is discussed. The emphasis is placed on early diagnosis, which together with modern therapy is giving high cure rates.
